Every Friday Night

An invitation from your chazzan sheni

Every Friday night the rabbi and I meet in the late afternoon to set up for the service.  This involves going through the siddur as to the order of service and she also rehearses me in the music we have selected for the service and also takes time to teach me new music for future services.  When we finish which is almost always exactly  one hour before the service begins I put on a concert of recorded Jewish music of all kinds, mostly sacred but some secular as well.  I usually am in the sanctuary for this full hour and want to invite all members and non-members to come in early and enjoy the music before the service.  I am always there to tell you about the music playing or even take requests.  The music usually ends at about five minutes before the rabbi begins the service.

Come in early and often:  Ray Hickman
